This summer, the Ford Fusion Energi will arrive in Phoenixville fully redesigned for the 2017 model year. What can drivers expect out of this eco-friendly flagship sedan?

The new Fusion Energi is getting a subtle facelift, with a wider grille, LED headlamps, and new 17-inch wheels.

The cabin space has been updated with convenience at heart. The new rotary-style gear selector opens up space in the center console for the cup holders to slide forward by about 6 inches compared with last year's model. This allows for a longer armrest, more storage space under the armrest, and an additional pocket designed for holding loose change and mobile devices.

The new, upscale Platinum trim level will feature seats, armrests, and instrument panel, and console rails all swaddled in premium stitched leather.

The 2017 Fusion Energi's powertrain hasn't changed since last year. Under the hood is a 118-horsepower electric motor, and a 141-horsepower four-cylinder engine, for 188 combined horsepower. Using the electric motor alone, the Fusion Energi can reach 85mph, and can travel an estimated 22 miles.
